What are signet rings?
Signet rings are one of the oldest styles of jewellery out there, and while they were once called the ‘gentleman’s ring’, they’re now a firm favourite for all genders. Historically, the face of the ring was engraved with a unique design and pressed into hot wax to authenticate letters. These days, they’re worn purely for fashion and self-expression.

What finger are signet rings worn on?
In the past, signet rings were almost always worn on the pinky finger of the non-dominant hand. This made it easy for the wearer to reach down and press the ring into wax. Nowadays, there aren't any strict rules.
While the pinky is still the most traditional spot, we also see plenty of people wearing them on their ring or middle fingers, or even as part of a stacked look with other rings.
